Hi, it's Keith.

After earning my Fine Arts degree in photography, I unexpectedly fell in love with computer animation. I was a Lighting and Compositing Artist for 20 years, working on many of Pixar's most loved films including Wall-E, Up, Inside Out, Toy Story 3, Soul, Luca, and Elemental.

I've spent decades steeped in the skills of observation and imagemaking- how to lead your eye around an image for the best emotional impact. When I wasn't lighting a scene on a glowing screen in a darkened office, I was using my camera to document life with my family and friends. It turns out I've got a knack for capturing the smallest, sweetest glimpses of life.

We don't always recognize when we're in it, but I've learned how important it is to document those fleeting eras we're all moving through... as time rolls on, small moments take on a new beauty and fresh poignancy. Let me grab some of these slices of life for you.

I find quiet, unexpected portraits in the candid crannies. I bear witness to lovely family moments when nobody is thinking about a camera and there's nothing put on- this is you and your loves, food on the face and messy hair and all.

I see the little vignettes, these little breaths of your people as they are right now so you can re-discover, with a gasp, what you didn't catch...what you couldn't see along the way.

I'd love to show you some work to get the gist of my point of view. Since I photograph people (and especially kids) I'm cautious about posting images publicly these days. Given the AI scraping, facial recognition, and data harvesting happening in our current tech climate, I'd rather keep it more locked down in the interest of privacy.

How about you reach out to me directly and I'll send you a password protected link? In the meantime, here's a smattering of my less identifiable work.
